Chuck is an NRA member and believes your right to self defense should not be abridged. He has defended that right tirelessly at the legislature. Chuck has sponsored Pro-2nd Amendment legislation every year since 2002 when he was first elected.

Chuck sponsored a bill (SB1106) that  allows a person who qualifies for a CCW permit to have the choice of either a permit valid for 5 years or for the lifetime of the  CCW permit holder, unless the permit is suspended or revoked. Update:

Chuck has always been strong on your 2nd amendment rights:

In 2002 when Chuck was first elected to the House of Representatives, the NRA gave him an "A" rating.

Out of the 92 people running for the House in the 2004 General Election, Chuck received an  A+ rating from the NRA along with only five other House candidates.

In the 2006 Arizona General Election, Chuck also received an  A+ rating from the NRA which was higher than any US Senator or Congressman from Arizona received.
