A
Strong Economy is Essential to Arizona
Arizona's
economy is usually healthy and vibrant. When other parts of the nation
are in an economic downturn, Arizona usually fairs pretty well. In
order
to stay vibrant we need to make sure we grow our economy in a way that
is friendly to business and attracts new high quality private sector
jobs
to Arizona and the East Valley.
I
worked in the construction trade for 13 years and in the public sector
for 10 years as a Mesa police officer. Since 1997 I have owned a
successful
internet business that sells products worldwide. I understand the
importance
of a diverse and well-rounded economy. Business, trade, and
commerce
are the engines that drive our economy. Government has a way of being
burdensome
and oppressive to business by regulating and taxing it to the point
that
being in business, in many cases, may no longer be profitable. This
must stop.
Business
expansion and growth in Arizona require:
 |
Highly
qualified and well-trained workers |
|
|
Business-friendly
environment |
|
 |
Quality
schools at all levels |
|
|
A
capable freeway system |
|
 |
Lower Tax Liabilities |
|
|
Healthy
Business climate |
|
 |
Affordable
Employee Health Coverage |
|
|
The
ability of business to be profitable |
|
I
will work to see that business is welcome in Arizona and the East
Valley.
