As
a police officer working in East Mesa, protecting Arizona's seniors
from
abuse and exploitation was very important to me. Identity theft
is a serious problem.
Seniors can be
vulnerable
to abuse and neglect by caretakers and may be targeted by criminals who
use bogus home repair ploys, living trust scams, fake charities and
other schemes designed to rob them of their life's savings. I will push
to
strengthen
laws against telemarketing and other consumer fraud as well as elder
abuse and identity theft.
Living
on a fixed income is hard enough without the government coming with its
hand out for more and more tax dollars.
