The
problem with the State's budget has never been one of under funding. It
has always been one of overspending. Many want to raise taxes to
spend more on programs. But do they consider the effect that raising
taxes
will
have on families? It takes money away from real people who have
family
necessities to buy and fuels overspending by government. Raising
taxes
is not an option.
I
am tired of having my hard-earned money thrown down a rat hole.
It
is spent these days with no thought or appreciation for the work it
took
to earn that dollar. I am heartbroken at the lack of respect government
has for the hard work that each tax dollar really represents. I
will work to lower the tax burden on all taxpayers, reduce government
waste
and increase the quality of the service government provides.
